Application Process

The Admissions Office will notify applicants of the admissions decision via email. All accepted students will receive an enrollment agreement and other documents in the mail. To fully reserve the accepted applicant's space, the contract agreement must be signed and emailed to the Admissions Office and payment of the registration deposit must be wired or received in the mail by the date indicated on the enrollment contract.

We encourage all families to visit our campus. St. John’s strives to get to know each prospective student and family while outlining our curriculum, touring the campus and introducing our community. Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents

  • International Applicants Requiring I-20 Form

In order to complete your application, the following documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office along with payment of the application fee of $275:

  • Student Writing Sample
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation
  • Grade 1-5 Applicants - 1 recommendation letter from a primary teacher
  • Grade 6-8 Applicants - 2 recommendation letters from a current English teacher and a current math teacher
  • English Proficiency Test
  • Grade 1-5 Applicants – No testing is required
  • Grade 6-8 Applicants – Test results from TOEFL Jr. or iTEP SLATE (SLEP is not accepted)
  • Copy of Current Passport (including pages indicating name, date of birth, etc.)
  • Color Photo of Student
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Financial Statement
  • International Applicants NOT Requiring I-20 Form

Step 4: Student Interview

Once the Admissions Office receives the international student application, application fee, and supporting documents, the Admissions Office will contact the family to schedule an interview, either at St. John’s Admissions Office or via Skype, with the prospective student.

Step 5: Notification of Decision

The Admissions Office will notify applicants of the admission decision via email. If accepted, the Admissions Office will send the acceptance letter along with the contract agreement and required school forms. If an I-20 is needed, the Admissions Office will also mail the I-20 Form. The executed contract agreement and deposit must be submitted to the Admissions Office two weeks after receipt of the acceptance letter, or as stated in the contract. The signed, contract agreement must be emailed to the Admissions Office at admissions@stjohns-es.org. The deposit may be made via electronic wire transfer or by personal check.

Step 6: School Documentation

The following documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office prior to the first day of school:

  • Results of a Tuberculosis Test (test must have been taken in the U.S. within the past 6 months to 30 days of receipt by St. John’s)
  • Proof of Health Insurance
  • Completed Health, Emergency, and Field Trip forms

Step 7: Tuition Payment

Tuition must be paid in full by August 1. Tuition is non-refundable.

Step 8: Submit I-901 Form

International students who received their I-20 Form from St. John’s must submit their I-901 Form to the Admissions Office after entry into the U.S.
