Accreditation
St. John's Episcopal
School exists within a supportive network of some of the leading schools
locally, statewide, and nationally. The School is an active participant
in the following educational associations:
California Association of
Independent Schools (CAIS)
Membership includes 160 schools throughout the state,
whose members share a commitment to excellence, and to the nurturing of the
physical, intellectual, moral, and social development of students. St.
John's received accreditation in the spring of 2006.
The National, State, and Orange
County Associations for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
This national association is the
accrediting body for our Preschool. The School was most recently
reaccredited in spring, 2002.
National Association of Episcopal
Schools (NAES)
Membership includes local COS schools, as well as
Episcopal schools that serve a national and international student body.
National Association of Independent
Schools (NAIS)
Membership
includes 1,700 independent schools in the United States and abroad, whose
members share in the belief that all educational institutions have a
responsibility to provide their students with the knowledge, skills, values,
ethics, and social commitment they will need to succeed.
Commission on Schools (COS) of the
Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Los Angeles
St. John's is one of two
accredited-member schools in south Orange County.
National Association of Middle
Schools
The leading organization that
establishes school philosophies and good practices.
Educational Records Bureau (ERB)
A division of the College Board, which produces the
standardized testing that is widely-used in independent schools and in many
leading suburban public schools.
