Admissions Process
St.
John's seeks students who demonstrate the ability and potential to benefit from
our academic programs, as well as parents who demonstrate a commitment to the
goals of the School, to the total development of their children and to their
children's success at St. John's. St. John's welcomes students of any
race, ethnic origin, gender, and religious affiliation or denomination; we do
not discriminate on these characteristics in the administration of admissions procedures,
academic, or scholarship programs, educational policies, athletics, or other
activities.
Applicants
who meet the eligibility requirements will receive an invitation to attend St.
John's. Special consideration is given to returning students, siblings of
current students and alumni, and to the children of active St. John's Episcopal
Church members. Students are admitted until all available places are filled. Those
who meet eligibility requirements for admission, but for whom no space is
immediately available, are assigned to an applicant pool from which placements
are filled as they occur. Date of application is considered when selecting
among equally-qualified applicants. Students entering Kindergarten, First, or
Second Grades must be (respectively) five-, six-, or seven-years-of-age by
September 1 of the year entering.
