Strategic Plan
Into
the Next Quarter Century
St.
John's Episcopal School
(2008
- 2013)
Introduction
The academic year 2008-2009 will be the 21st
year of St. John's
Episcopal School. In the first two
decades of its existence, the School moved from vision through creation to
establishment. The School continues to
hold as a hallmark characteristic the affect of a small school that fosters a
learning environment in which children and adults can do well in their own
endeavors while doing good for others.
The School's relationship with the Church is excellent and an
identifying, distinguishing quality; its vigorous and broad curriculum is
recognized as exemplary; the professional quality and personal integrity of its
employees, without peer.
Though there is no guarantee for continuing success
in any arena, the probability of continued success and excellence can be
increased exponentially with thoughtful, deliberate and intentional
planning. This document is the fruit of
this sort of planning. It is not a
detailed how-to, step-by-step manual of procedures. Rather, it is a tool to focus attention on
several areas which are critical to the School's continued excellence and
success. This Strategic Plan represents not only a
commitment to the future but an acknowledgment of our obligation to the past.
