2018-2019 Tuition and Fees

Upon acceptance to St. John's, a non-refundable registration deposit of 10% of tuition is required to guarantee placement. Late payments will result in a late fee of $100, and enrollment will be subject to space availability.

Early Childhood Division Tuition and Fees

2 Half Days*: $5,870

2 Standard Days*: $8,060

3 Half Days: $9,510

3 Standard Days: $11,000

5 Half Days: $12,230

5 Standard Days: $14,660

*Half day schedules not available for infants and toddlers.

Extended Care

Extended Care is available each morning (7:30-8:00 a.m.) and each afternoon (2:45-6:00 p.m.) on regular school days. The Early Childhood Division offers a separate Full-Day Extended Care Agreement, which allows a child to attend Extended Care on days of enrollment. The Full-Day Extended Care Agreement automatically guarantees space in ECC Extended Care (In-service and Conference days are not included and must be registered and paid for separately).

Pricing below reflects total for an annual school year agreement:

2 days a week per child: $ 1,980.00

3 days a week per child: $ 2,610.00

5 days a week per child: $ 3,690.00

Families who do not wish to purchase a Full Day Extended Care Agreement may also reserve occasional afternoon Extended Care until 4:00 p.m. on a “space available” basis, by using an Extended Care family bank of hours purchased through the School website.

Elementary Division Tuition and Fees

Kindergarten Re-Enrolling: $14,660

Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade): $17,050

*Tuition does not include a New Family Facility Fee ($750), uniforms (approximately $200-$400), and a Tuition Refund Plan premium (1.40% of tuition).

Middle Division Tuition and Fees

Middle (6th-8th Grades)*: $17,820

  • 6th Grade – Field Studies Trip (approximately $525)
  • 7th Grade – Field Studies Trip (approximately $400)
  • 8th Grade – Williamsburg/D.C. Trip (approximately $2,950)

Payment Plans

St. John's Episcopal School offers three tuition payment plans:

One Payment: Due July 1
Two Payments
: Due July 1 and November 1
Monthly Payments: Beginning on June 1 and due each month on the 1st through April, excluding February

*The Monthly Payment Plan requires enrollment in the FACTS automatic tuition payment system. A one-time fee of approximately $45 paid to FACTS will be assessed upon enrollment in the FACTS payment system.
**The registration deposit, due at enrollment, is applied against the tuition balance reflected on the payment plan chosen.

Flexible Tuition

Flexible Tuition is available to families on a need basis. All students in the Elementary and Middle Divisions will be eligible. In the Early Childhood Division, siblings of students in the Elementary and Middle Divisions will also be eligible.
