Step 3: Schedule an Assessment (Pre-K-5th Grade)

An Admissions assessment is required for all applicants entering Pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Once your application has been submitted, you will be able to schedule an assessment on the assessment calendar listed in the online application checklist. Please contact the Admissions Office if you need to schedule a different day or time. Students applying to 3rd - 5th grade will do their admissions assessment during their buddy day.

Step 4: Schedule ISEE (6th-8th Grade)

St. John’s requires all Middle Division applicants to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). If you have already taken the ISEE, please submit your scores using the school's ERB code: 054209. If you would like to sign up for an ISEE date at St. John's, please follow the link here and use the following reference codes to search and register for the test dates at St. John's. Please make sure to use the St. John's ERB code of 054209 when registering for the exam so that the school receives a copy of your ISEE results.

A Buddy Day is optional for 1st through 2nd grade applicants. 3rd through 5th grade applicants have a full day Buddy Day during which they will also be administered the Admission assessment. A full-day Buddy Day is required for 6th through 8th grade applicants. Buddy Days can be scheduled on the calendars listed in the online application checklist. Please contact the Admissions Office if you need to schedule a different day or time.
